Get Discovered like Daft Punk
(New York City, USA) - Daft Punk rock - that much is a given. However, the notorious duo of French dance music are also some of the smartest samplers in the business; using old-school disco hooks to propel themselves to stardom, if that's what you can call their robot-suit clad antics these days. But before they 'didn't do cameras' without their spacesuits, they did old school sounds with a new beat. If you're curious as to where the sounds from Aerodynamic and Digital Love came from, this is the compilation you need to check out.

Tom Middleton goes 3D for Renaissance
He's a DJ known by many names: Global Communication, Cosmos, The Modwheel etc, but his real name is Tom Middleton, and that's what we're going to call him so nobody gets confused. But it's this chameleon-like approach to music that's why he's such an enduring talent - and that's the reason that Renaissance have picked him to follow Faithless as the newest compiler of one of their 3D mix compilations.

Triple R - Selection 6
(Amsterdam, NL) - We're about to enter 2008; time to look back on what this year has, musically speaking, brought us. While lots of major labels are starting to hit the market with cheesy 'Best of 2007' compilation just before the holidays, the smaller imprints are far more interesting to look at (and listen to). 365Mag album review: Balance 012 - Mixed by Lee Burridge
Sit down my child, and let me weave you a yarn, because the fact that Balance012 is 365Mag's first ever 9.5/10 means that there's a decent amount of material to cover. As any fan of electronic music will tell you, the methods and techniques of mixing, blending and re-editing a CD compilation are monstrous. Lee Burridge, having over two decades of experience under his sombrero, is certainly no stranger to the process, having done numerous compilations for Global Underground and Fabric, among others, as well as holding down a massive tour schedule that leaves little time for the missus. Combine that with the musical philosophy behind the folks at Balance, and you've got quite a beast in the making.

365Mag Album Review: Yoshitoshi: Montreal - Mixed by Sultan
Yoshitoshi is about to release the newest edition in its well-respected Yoshitoshi series, with DJ Sultan taking care of the mixing duties. The package, entitled Yoshitoshi Montreal and due end of september, contains another load of Yoshitoshi's trademark sound of rock-solid house and progresisve in the form of mash-ups, previously unreleased tracks, and remixes. Although his name might not ring a bell immediately, Sultan has been spinning all over the world, plus having released a string of tracks that have found their way to several highly-regarded mix compilations such as Tieesto's In Search Of Sunrise 4. The Canadian native claims to have been inspired to start spinning and producing thanks to Yoshitoshi: “They were the kind of records I would play over and over again at home and at clubs and never get bored of." Sounds exciting. Let's check to see if this is another Yoshtoshi worth purchasing.

Serge Santiago and Riton go into Space
(Ibiza, Spain) Space in Ibiza is one of the biggest clubs in the world. As such, it's their sworn duty to keep abreast of what's going on in clubland; who's playing the tunes that get the kids dancing? And who's making those tunes? With that mission in mind, it's good to see one of Ibiza's institutions embracing newer talent than it's usually known for, with a new EP and compilation series, We Love… Ibiza, that's helmed by two of the new breed of underground talent - Serge Santiago and Riton.

365 Album Review: Chris Fortier, As Long As The Moment Exists
(New York City, USA) - We all know that Chris Fortier has been around for some time, and has done many impressive things. Lately Fortier has been on the forefront for producing and releasing some rather interesting music that can only be classified as underground. It is not often that you run into a person of Chris' stature, and find that all his is concerned with is expanding his sound, and the sound of the underground as a whole. Fortier's latest album a first for EQ Recordings whom have been synonymous for releasing DJ mix compilations, is entitled As Long As The Moment Exists.

365Mag Album Review: Fabric 35 mixed by Ewan Pearson
It would be impossible to start this review without introducing you to all the aspects of Fabric. You see, Fabric is home to quite possibly the best and most innovative clubbing experience the world over. I say this because I have had the pleasure of experiencing it first hand on several occasions. I saw The Stanton Warriors, Krafty Kuts, and the Plump DJ's as well as Terry Francis and Craig Richards there. The Club itself, and those tied in with promoting the weekly, always push the musical barriers to the extreme. From Drum and Bass, to Downtempo, House to Techno, the creativity and daringness of these folks to always book and support top tier cutting edge talent is without parallel. Thus is also the case with their record label which releases 2 different compilation series: Fabric and Fabriclive.
