JUNKIE XL'S BOOMING BACK AT YOU
(Los Angeles, USA) - With the arrival of his fifth proper studio album, Dutch-born musician, producer and remixer Junkie XL (Tom Holkenborg) has crafted a disc that not only builds on his beloved back catalog but also builds a bridge with today's vibrant new school of dance-rock music. Due out March 11, 2008, Booming Back At You will be released as the first offering from Artwerk Music-the record label started by Electronic Arts (EA) in conjunction with Nettwerk Music Group. “In the past, I always made conceptual records or tried to find a theme. But I'm such an energetic performer, very upbeat, and I wanted to capture that,” states Junkie XL. “This album throws that vibe right back at the fans.”

Junkie XL becomes a music teacher
(Arnhem, NL)- Tom Holkenborg, a.k.a. Junkie XL doesn't exactly shy away from publicity, not in the least for his progressive attitude. He first made headlines by mastering every track on one of his earlier albums while being under the effects of an xtc pill. Later he caught global attention by being the only one to ever remix Elvis Presley (under his JXL alias, to avoid any association with drugs).

365 Album Review: Today, Junkie XL
Starting in 1995, debuting in 1997 already: that's how Tom Holkenborg's one-man-show gathered momentum. His work under the band name JunkieXL is commonly known, the prog heads will surely remember his top notch remix on Infusion's Legacy and all the great music coming from The Computer Hell Cabin. Movie fans know him as a score composer contributing to blockbusters such as The Matrix, Team America and Kingdom of Heaven.
