Fuijitsu announces 'Turntabletop ' hybrid
If you are considering trading in beloved technics turntables for a pc-alternative, Fujitsu might have something 'very pimp' in store for you. During the CEATEC hardware conference, the Japanese hardware maker unveiled a rather special Turntable PC prototype, that functions as a spiffy pc, brimming with multimedia features with its lid open, transforming into a sci-fi turntable when the lid is closed.

New artist added, KiloWatts!
If you've been wandering the site and forums, you'll know something new's afoot and here's the unveiling. James Watts aka KiloWatts is now added as a member artist to the site and will complement the evolving and varied Hybridized sound alongside Andrew Kelly quite nicely, turning a blind eye to genres and even time signatures on occasion. Two sets to start you off:

Hybrid's new studio album hits the market
Hybrid is a pair of Welsh boys who must be some of the hardest working lads in dance music. Since the release of their first album, Wide Angle, in 1999 the duo have toured extensively, including a set of gigs across the US with Moby; remixed for a host of huge names, everyone from Alanis Morrisette, and Jean Michelle Jarre to UNKLE and The Orb; worked on the scores of films like Man on Fire and Kingdom of Heaven; and found time to release the critically acclaimed Morning Sci-Fi album.

Hybrid - I Choose Noise
It's been almost 3 years since Hybrid released their second album 'Morning Sci-Fi'. Since then they've made the transgression from producers into score composers, contributing to the scores of such films as Man On Fire, Domino and Kingdom Of Heaven with Harry Gregson-Williams, in addition to their first full score for the upcoming film Catacombs, and now they are set to release their third artist album, the cinematically epic 'I Choose Noise'.

Line 6 brings guitar and softsynth closer together
Although we have seen quite a few midi interfaces and controller combos over the past few weeks and months, the aspiring guitarist-producer Hybrid might still feel a bit empty handed. Given the omnipresent electro clash movement, but more generally the merging of the worlds of the analogue guitar and the digital production platforms , the lack of a Hybrid midi control-soundcard-guitar amp unit must have been a bit of a vacuum in the market for gear.
