(New Orleans, USA) - (Indigo, USA) - The line-up for the 2008 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival--Friday, April 25, Saturday, April 26 and Sunday, April 27--was announced last night (Monday) at an event in Mexico City. One of the premiere music and arts festivals in the United States, Coachella has seen headliners the likes of Daft Punk, Madonna, and The Chemical Brothers. Located in the Coachella Valley of Southern California's Desert region, Indio is home to this annual event.

(Amsterdam, NL) - If Francois K was to be described, the label of musical visionary would suit him best. He is one of those few first generation DJ's, as he took on DJ'ing in the early seventies, gigging in legendary venues such as Paradise Garage, Studio 54, The Loft and Better Days. His passion and talent has furthermore lead him to jobs that many a DJ would dream of. He has been mixing an album for Kraftwerk and has conducted production work for acclaimed artists such as U2, Mick Jagger, Diana Ross, The Cure, The Smiths, The Pet Shop Boys, and many others. We could go on for hours on what this guy has meant for dance music, but more important is the fact that he is now about to release a new 3xCD mix album on Ministry, entitled Masterpiece.

(Paris, France) - After having spotted several of my favourite artists playing live sets with a Lemur including Stephan Bodzin, Richie Hawtin, Daft Punk, Modeselektor Bjoerk, Kraftwerk and a host of others, it was about time for me to jump on the bandwagon as well and outfit myself with one. Therefore, this review is not as objective as it could be; I own one, but on the on the other hand, in the case of the lemur, it takes one to know one.

Music innovators beware, as Yamaha is about to demo its mysterious Tenori-on visual music instrument to the press on September 4th, during an exclusive worldwide launch party, at Phonica Records, Soho. During the event, inventor Toshio Iowa (Japan's leading media artist) will demo the device, which has already made its way to the likes of Kraftwerk, Mouse on Mars and Atom Hart.
