balErik (Erik Molthe) based in Oslo, Norway started djing late 2001. His vinyl collection rapidly started to grow and about 8 months later he got his first warmup gig at Oslo's leading progressive house night, "Odyssey". When balErik djs he plays sexy, deep and funky house & techno music.

In 2003, balErik started a monthly club night in Oslo, with occational parties in other Norwegian cities, "Dirty grooves" (www.dirtygrooves.com). The night has been a great success and got nominated for best clubnight in an online clubbing magazine same year. Recently he got into promoting another club night too, called Timeslip with a dj buddy, Omega., also a monthly club night based in Oslo. Main ideas with both club nights are happy vibes and amazing house music.
Has warmed up for Desyn Masiello, Rowan Blades, Luke Fair, Seaumus Haji, Chris Fortier, Yousef, Kingkade, Greg Vickers, Jeff Bennett, Nils Noa and Inkfish, to name a few known names.

Some of balEriks favorite djs and influences are Danny Howells, Rollo (Israel), Luke Fair, Desyn Masiello & Rowan Blades. Recently balErik got into re-editing which is a small start of getting into producing. Some of his edits have been played by Deep Dish, Sander Kleinenberg, John Digweed, Nic Fanciulli, Demi, Max Graham, Nils Noa, djs in Italy, Uk and Holland. balErik has played all over Oslo, Turnmills London, and has gigs lined up in Poland and Lithuania in the next months.

On his spare time he is constantly looking for hot tunes, making contacts on the internet, trying to promote himself in the best possible way. Keep a look out for balErik and his dirty grooves in the future. Nominated dj of the year in nattguiden.no 2004.
