In my view Alex (sasha) is the most talented Dj of all time. I have followed him since he started back in the early 90's and he never fails to impress me. His emotive and well programmed sets have brought me "joy" for nearly two decades now and i think he desrves alot more credit than he is given.

It really annoys me when people under-appreciate him, because in most cases, they are commenting on a subject they dont really know about. My friends are all dance music fans and they never have patience when it comes to my style of music, all they want is bouncy beats with no structure to their sets, all the obvious, perdictable funky house / trance sh*t. You try and play something from sasha or any set that has prfessionalism in its structure, and they just go "ah, get that off, its boring". Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr !

Maybe I analyse things to much, or his music is just appealing to my personality, im a very emotional person as it is, and i like high standards in everything, especially dance music.

Any thoughts ?

must say i'm about like you...

as a french guy, there is a lot of electro shit here (wtf tecktonik...), and progressive is nearly "null"...
there's also the "french touch 2.0" with a lot of guyz like Justice, Para One, Yuksek, Busy P, SebastiAn...

all my friends are into this electro / french touch stuff and i'm kinda bored of it... they just aren't opening minded enough to listen to quality music with true originality...

same as you, i got high music standarts, and it kinda bother me cause when i go to parties with my friends, it's sometimes hard to just "enjoy and be happy" since i don't like at all, most of the time, the music played... (that's why i'm often drunk, it's easier then xD). Sometimes i wonder if it wouldn't be better to have sucky music tastes so that i could enjoy all kind of music like others...

Btw i don't consider sasha as the best DJ, but at least he's one of my list that has a real musical personality, that brings something interesting to dance music instead of doing the same than others... I like people like Digweed, James Holden, Martin Garcia, Hernan Cattaneo, Aril Brikha, Madoka, Francois K, Terry Lee Brown Jr, Pig & Dan, Mikael Delta etc...

Well, he is skilled, but he play some other kind of music, wich I like, I can not said, if he is best, because his music did not take me to the ecstasy. Sorry!
